About this webpage:
What I list is basically events that I'm interested in. It's
not a complete list of gay-related events in San Francisco, nor
are all these events strictly about promoting the homosexual
agenda, whatever that is. I tend to list events that are
about people creating local, direct live entertainment,
especially as related to spoken word, rock, hip-hop, and
electronic music, art events, and so on. While I like to
get email about events, I can't promise to list everything
in this calendar that I'm told about.
Email larrybob@io.com with event info. Please send plain text--
avoid attachments, gif or jpg flyers, e-vites, and html mail.
ALSO DO NOT USE ALL CAPS EXCESSIVELY.
Facebook links will only be posted if they can be viewed by
someone not logged in on Facebook. I do not have a Facebook
account.

About Queer Things To Do and Google Calendar
I have decided to start using Google Calendar to maintain the site.
This has several advantages:
- Easier to deal with recurring events
- Calendar can be subscribed with iCal, Google Calendar, or Mozilla Sunbird or Lightning
- They fixed URLs so they work as hotlinks now! (was a bug, now a feature!)
However, there are some issues:
- Google Calendar is still in beta
Please feel free to email me with issues you have - please let me know
what browser and type of computer you are using - larrybob {at} io.com
For general Google Calendar questions, check out their group:

Writing Group for Gay Men:
GuyWriters, a Bay Area network for gay men who write, is currently seeking writers to join our two writing groups -- one for poets and one for prose writers. The writing groups are a helpful and lively way to improve your craft as a writer by sharing your work with other writers and receiving constructive feedback.
The writing groups meet twice a month and are run on a quarterly basis: members send the group at least one piece of work before the first session, then gather at a member's home for six consecutive meetings to critique each other's work, and finally share their work with an audience in a GuyWriters public reading or publication.
GuyWriters members are diverse in age, backgrounds and writing styles, and writers of all skill levels are welcome.
Both writing groups meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. If you want to join us for the next session or have any questions, send an email to
GuyWriters@yahoo.com by April 6th, 2007. We look forward to hearing from you!
GuyWriters celebrates and supports literary creativity in the gay male community through a speakers series, member readings, writing groups, and a monthly newsletter. Check out our website for more information:

sfba gay
geeks yahoo group
Plot to invade a geek event with gays, or a gay event with geeks. Or
just do some social things and find a boy who still has Star Wars
figures, or a girl who liked Xena for all the right wrong reasons.

20 Something Gay Men's Potluck!
- Are you somewhere in or around your twenties?
- Are you looking to make new friends?
- Are you interested in cooking or willing to give it a try?
- Can you come to a PotLuck once a month?
If you answer yes to these questions then you should read on!
Here are some more details.
This is a club for men in or around their twenties to build friendships with their peers, practice entertaining and cooking for more then just one. The potluck has been going now for two year and has a really great bunch of guys.
The group has a yahoo group web page that we use to chat with each other and announce pot lucks and other activities. So you have to have access to email and be willing to join yahoo groups.
We meet on the first Saturday of every month at someone's house in or around San Francisco. Your not required to be a host (although we always need hosts) to join but we do ask that you do come to as many pot lucks as possible.
Since the potlucks are usually held at member's houses we like to screen our members closely. If you could write a bio about yourself, including, what you do, where you live, how long you have been in the city, where you came from, why you moved here, why you want to join the pot luck, what your hobbies are, what your cooking experience is and anything else you would like to add, that would be great! If you have any specific questions just ask! I look forward to hearing from you! Contact me at cobalt555@earthlink.net
